Anniversary Card 1

This card was personal to me as it was for my wedding anniversary. I hadn't purchased a card for my husband as I could not find one I liked at a price I like (all the ones I liked were at least £5 and lets face it and not worth that).

I decided to look around in my stash of bits and pieces the night before our wedding anniversary to see what I could come up with.

To say I was pleased with the result was an understatement. It took longer for me to look through my stash and find the bits than it did to make it, but it does look quite effective up close (although maybe not from my picture) I do apologise. The best part of it was the ribbon, we had been given two small bottles of champagne for Christmas that we hadn't drunk until a few days before and the ribbon was what was tied around one of the bottles.

Needless to say my husband was really pleased with it.

Birthday Card 2

Here is another card I made last week, although the picture quality could be better but you get the idea.

To make this card I used the following:

1 x 12x12 dark purple scrapbooking card
1 x 12x12 light purple scrapbooking card
1 x Decoupage lady sheet
Foam pads
Glue

  1. First I cut the 12x12 dark purple scrapbooking card to size and folded it
  2. I then made up the lady from the decoupage sheet using foam pads
  3. I masked the lady onto some light purple scrapbooking card
  4. Then mask this onto the the dark purple card
  5. Stick to the dark purple card
  6. Add a "Happy Birthday" cut out from the Decoupage sheet.

Birthday Card 1

This card was made with some odds and ends that I found in my craft box.

To make this card I used the following:

1 x sheet of purple 12x12 scrapbooking card
1 x sheet of brown and pink flowered 12x12 scrapbooking paper
1 x sheet of printed card (ladies)
Glue

  1. First I cut the sheet of purple card to size and folded it.
  2. I cut out three fans from the brown and pink patterend paper from a template. I layered the three fan shapes and glued them onto the card.
  3. I then used the gold border from the printed card with the ladies on to make the two gold strips which I then glued towards the bottom of the card.
  4. The lady was then glued on top of the fan.
  5. To finish off I used a "With Love" cut out from the printed card (ladies)

Still here

Sorry for the delay in posting but things have been a bit hectic here recently and I haven't really had time to do much crafting, however that all changed last week and I have now got the crafting bug again so please watch out as I hope to making a lot more cards and scrapbook pages over the next week months.

Welcome

Hi and welcome to my blog post.

My name is Charlotte and I live in Sittingbourne, Kent with my husband Martyn and two boys Matthew and Nathan.

Now like all working Mum's I don't have a lot of spare time but in the time that I do have I enjoy crafting which for me is a great release and at times hard because I am not what you would call artistic.

I have cross stitched since I was about 15 and enjoy all of my creations, all of which so far I have made as presents so don't have any of my own.

Then about four years ago I joined a local craft class and was introduced to card making which I enjoy. I like making one off cards for family and friends and over the years have purchased different tools to help along the way.

Then lastly about 2 years ago I started Scrapbooking which I love. I have only so far scrapbooked with paper but a very good friend of mine is into Digital Scrapbooking so I am going to give that a go. I will post the results on here as and when I do them (if I think they are good enough that is lol).

I hope to be able to post my creations as and when I complete them, starting with my paper scrapbook pages once I have photographed them all for you to comment and share your views.
